The Story of Tanzanite
On a stormy night in 1967, shattering lightning tore open the night sky and set Mount Kilimanjaro ablaze. While hunting amongst the debris of the still smoking brush fire, a Maasai warrior named Alii Juuwatu noticed that some embers seemed to be scintillating under the moonlight.
He kneeled down and discovered a constellation of thousands of strikingly blue precious stones. Alii entrusted one of the stones to an explorer who first thought that it was corundum. The stone went around the world and wound up at Tiffany’s where it was finally named tanzanite.
Tanzanite gives confidence and stimulates spiritual awakening. It is also said that it brings luck.
Light your candle 2 hours the first time, you will get an even burn.
To preserve the fragrance, do not burn your candle for more than 3 hours at a time.
Before each burn trim the wick to less than 1/4 of an inch, you will avoid any black smoke and residue on the glass.
Always remove wick debris and keep burning the wick in the middle of the container.
If the wick requires centering, gently readjust it to the center when the candle is unlit and the wax is still molten, allow the candle to solidify before relighting.
Burn on a flat, stable fireproof surface.
The Tanzanite is the birthstone for the month of December.
People often ask us “Can I purchase Tanzanite if I am not born in December?”
The response is yes, absolutely.
Whether you are born in December or not, the most important thing is how this scent makes you feel. You can also choose your Birthstone Scents candle or perfume by looking at the properties of the gems. So, don’t overthink the month of December and go for it if you like it!
